Dr. Laviniu Anghel, MD
At First Class OB/GYN in South Florida, Dr. Anghel provides women with treatment and care for a wide range of gynecological and urinary problems, as well as obstetric care. He’s a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist in the United States and a board-certified surgeon in the European Union.Dr. Anghel's dedication to making sure that he provides the highest quality care for women in is reflected in his many board certifications and professional affiliations. In addition to being board-certified, he’s also a Fellow at American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Anghel’s knowledge and expertise in minimally invasive surgery have also earned him a place in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Maria Fernandez, MD
Dr. Maria Elena Fernandez-Mestres was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in General Sciences at University of Puerto Rico in 2001. She completed her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. (ACGME accredited program). Shortly after, Maria Elena married her college sweetheart and started residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution. During her senior year, she was chosen as Chief resident in her residency program. Dr. Maria Elena Fernandez is board certified in Obstetris and Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. (ABOG). After graduating from her speciality in 2009, Dr. Fernandez spent 2 years in private practice. She made her way to Florida in 2011 where she undertook clinical research in robotics in the setting of oncologic patients between 2011 and 2012. After having her first child in 2012, she gradually returned to practice. Her extensive work experience includes being an assistant professor of OBGYN at FIU. Her areas of interest include high-risk obstetrics, gynecologic malignancies and behavioral sciences, particulary related to anxiety and depression in the OBGYN patient population. Dr. Fernandez strongly believes in a compassionate approach as the key for establishing meaningful relationships with her patients, loved ones, and people in general. She decided to join First Class OB GYN, moved by her search for high quality of care and team oriented work environment. Maria Elena loves animals (specially dogs), traveling, and deeply enjoys spending time with her husband, Joshua and daughters Catalina Isabelle and Eva Lucia, as well as with her dogs Nena and Lola.
Dr. Catalina Granada, MD
Dr. Catalina Granada is a dedicated professional and is sensitive to her patients' needs. Dr. Granada earned her medical degree from the Universidad CES Escuela de Medicina, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a fellowship training in pediatric and adolescent gynecology at Kosair Children's Hospital. Dr. Granada is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also highly trained and certified in cosmetic surgery and other non-invasive cosmetic treatment options. Dr. Granada loves being able to work with her patients to help them achieve their personal beauty goals. During your visit, she will listen to your needs and make recommendations based on our desired outcomes. She is excited to join the Weston Med Spa & Cosmetic Surgery team to service the Weston community.
Dr. Cristin Wehbe, MD
Dr. Wehbe was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Her first language is Spanish. Both of her parents are from the Middle East, which is why she is also fluent in Arabic. She graduated from medical school at Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2013. Dr. Wehbe worked in research at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, in 2015. She completed her OBGYN residency at Jersey City Medical Center in 2020. Dr. Wehbe became board certified in 2022. She worked in a FQHC for 3 years in Jersey City, NJ, from 2020 to 2023, taking care of underserved patients. She is a very passionate physician who likes everything done by the book. Dr. Wehbe loves being in the operating room. Her main goal in practice is to provide the best care to the patient and listen to all their questions and concerns. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog.
Dr. Rolando R. Gomez Jr., MD
Dr. Rolando R. Gomez Jr. is a South Florida native, raised in Miami. At 16 years old, he decided to devote his life to women's health. Without hesitation, he changed his path from engineering and architecture to Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was accepted into the accelerated program at the University of Miami and completed his undergraduate, medical school, and residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital over the next decade.
Nearly 30 years later, he has never looked back. During his illustrious career, Dr. Gomez has been at the forefront of his profession. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2001, he has delivered thousands of babies. The passion and dedication that began as a teenager has only grown deeper and stronger. Every patient encounter has been an opportunity to serve and impact someone's life for the better. That responsibility and privilege has had an exponential effect even more far-reaching that includes friends, family, and loved ones of each patient he has cared for.
Beyond the beauty of Obstetrics, Dr. Gomez has a strong focus on Gynecology. He has lectured nationally and internationally to physicians, hospitals, and academic centers on a wide range of complex gynecologic problems and the most current available treatments. While in solo practice in Miami, he travelled to over a dozen countries in Central and South America through Baptist Health Systems International Division, introducing the latest technology in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroid tumors, and pelvic pain. Many of the conferences were organized through the First Lady's Women's Health Events, educating and influencing a wide range of government Public Health Care officials, administrators of medical schools, and Hospital Board Trustees. These experiences began a lifelong mission to expand awareness of challenges that are unique to the care of women.
During the years of training, educating, and practicing medicine, Dr. Gomez raised five children. His adoration for his profession is only matched by his profound love and devotion for his sons and daughter. His purpose in life revolves around the legacy that are his children, the countless lives he has affected and saved through his professional calling, and his devotion to God. His accomplishments are too many to mention, but they pale in comparison to the value of each and every patient he cares for unconditionally. And continues to do so every day.
Dr. Jordan Hoke, MD
Dr. Jordan Hoke is a proud South Florida native dedicated to offering personalized and comprehensive women’s health care for every stage of life, from adolescence through menopause. She graduated with Honors with her Bachelor’s Degree from Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University before entering the field of education; where she taught Cambridge Biology for four years before returning to medical school. She completed medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, where she was selected as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She went on to her dream Ob/Gyn residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York where she served as Chief Resident during her final year, serving to coordinate resident education, patient safety research and community outreach. Dr. Hoke specializes in a wide range of obstetric and gynecological services, including annual wellness exams, routine and high-risk prenatal care, family planning, menopausal care, and minimally invasive surgery. She is passionate about empowering women with knowledge about their bodies, focusing on a patient-centered approach, ensuring her patients feel heard, understood, and comfortable. She strives to provide the highest standard of evidence-based care, using the latest technology and medical advancements to support her patients’ health and well-being. When she’s not in the office, Dr. Hoke enjoys spending time with her husband exploring South Florida culture and exploring local parks with their miniature schnauzer Yogi. Dr. Hoke is accepting new patients and looks forward to partnering with you on your health journey.

Jennifer Garcia, Midwife
Jenifer is a nurse practitioner, who completed her master’s degree in nursing at Frontier Nursing University. She is dedicated to assuring a positive patient experience, as well as working with her team to improve quality, safety, and service. She believes that two-way communication is the key to good health. Jenifer majorly focuses on preventive health care and treats patients in a structured manner, focusing not just on the ailment but also on the general well-being of the patient. She does her very best to communicate to the patients the information they need to make the right choices.
Rolando Morell, Midwife
Rolando Morell graduated as a doctor from the University of Camaguey in 1990. He received his Specialist degree in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Camaguey Cuba in 1994. He obtained a licensed midwife degree from the International Institute for Health Care professionals in 2016. He has a total of 31 years of experience, currently working at providing personalized care to women throughout their pregnancy, postpartum, family planning, and annual examinations.
Rolando offers high-quality health services designed to support the patient and their families. He works closely with his fellow OB / GYN physicians to provide seamless care to women with complex medical problems.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, being active, and cooking. He is married and has 3 daughters.
Urania Genatios, Midwife
Urania Genatios, of Venezuelan origin, studied medicine at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and pursued postgraduate studies in OB/GYN at the Hospital Universitario de Caracas. After completing her studies, she began her career as a professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service of the Hospital Universitario de Caracas for more than 13 years, eventually becoming Head of Service and then Department. She gained experience in medical, surgical, and minimally invasive procedures, as well as in reproductive endocrinology.
Upon immigrating to the United States, her deep love and passion for her profession and her commitment to patient care led her to further her studies as a Midwife at the International Institute of Healthcare Professionals. She continues to serve women and mother-child pairs with love and cultural competence, seeing herself not just as a healthcare provider but as part of her patients' families.
Laura Persad, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC, Midwife
Laura Persad, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner focused on providing holistic health care. Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University.
As an advanced practice provider, Laura is especially interested in decreasing health inequity. Laura previously served on the board of Jahajee Sisters, the first Indo-Caribbean organization in the United States dedicated to ending gender-based violence. Prior to joining First Class OBGYN, Laura worked as a Registered Nurse at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Her approach to midwifery is informed by empowering women and providing individualized care. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and son.
Wiehtania Lawal,APRN,CNM - Midwife
Tania is a South Florida native and has always had a passion for helping people in all capacities. Through nursing she’s focused on women’s health.She received her Bachelors in nursing and Florida Atlantic University and her Masters degree from Frontier Nursing University specializing in midwifery. Tania has a diverse nurse background including high-risk labor and delivery and is devoted to empowering women to take charge of their health care journey.
Committed to addressing health disparities, she actively educates her patients, uses shared decision making, and strives to reduce racial disparities in maternal and infant health. Tania is dedicated to providing women and their families with a caring and personalized health care experience. Outside of work, Tania enjoys spending quality time with loved ones and exploring new destinations through travel.
Jeanette Hernandez FNP-C, MW, RDMS - Nurse Practitioner
Jeanette Hernandez is a Medical Doctor and OBGYN from Venezuela. She got her degree at Universidad Central de Venezuela. She is a provider with 25 years of experience in OB/GYN field. Family Nurse Practitioner, BioTe provider, Licensed Midwife, and Registered Medical Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (BREAST & OB/GYN). Physician and Obstetrician and Gynecologist (1998) in Venezuela with Diploma in Knowing and Improving the Care of Children and Juvenile Gynecology in Latin America (2021).
She has achieved vast expertise in all women's lifetime which includes prenatal and gynecological care; pregnancy management; family planning; Menopause and Hormone Replacement therapy including experience in Bioidentical hormones and pellets. Leveraging her warm and empathic nature complemented by her superb interpersonal skills to put patients at ease, resolve any worries or concerns, and answer questions to ensure full patient understanding and comfort.
Jeanette took an interest in cosmetics and took extensive training in aesthetics as sclerotherapy and bioidentical hormones. She decided to join Weston Med Spa & Cosmetic Surgery to help her patients achieve their personal goals. She loves to work with her patients to find the right treatment option to look and feel their best. Jeanette carefully listens to her patient's concerns to make a careful assessment and provide recommendations that are tailored to their needs.
Madelaine Plutin, Nurse Practitioner
Madelaine was born in Cuba. He studied at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba. She is a dedicated women's health nurse and is passionate about providing exceptional care to women. She completed her master's degree in nursing at Miami Regional University. She is dedicated to ensuring a positive patient experience, as well as working with her team to improve quality, safety and bilingualism. She does everything she can to communicate to patients the information they need to make the right decisions and receive the best care.
Gerardo Francisco Vega De La Rosa, Nurse Practitioner
Gerardo graduated as a doctor from the University of Habana in 1995. Alba Beltran, APRN, Nurse Practitioner
Alba Beltran is a Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, she graduated as a Medical Doctor from the University of Sancti-Spiritus, Cuba in 1998 and received her specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002.

Nelva Puertolas, Nurse Practitioner
Nelva Puertolas completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Camaguey University of Medical Sciences Carlos J Finlay in 1992, followed by a specialization in obstetrics-gynecology at the same university in 1997. In 2012, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and in 2017, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing — Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Turabo. She’s has experience in aesthetics, as a medical assistant and with managing practice operations.
