Hysterectomy/Robotic Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy is an operation to remove the uterus. This procedure may be necessary for a variety of reasons, including painful uterine fibroids, a prolapsed uterus, cancer of the uterus, cervix or ovaries, endometriosis, abnormal vaginal bleeding or chronic pelvic pain. A hysterectomy is often a last-resort option, after other treatment options have not been successful. Depending on the reason for the hysterectomy, either a portion of the uterus will be removed, or it will be removed entirely.

Robotic Laparoscopic Myomectomy

This is a minimally invasive surgery done to remove fibroids, which are growths in a woman’s uterus that can cause severe symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, bloating, infertility, frequent urination and constipation. The woman’s uterus is left intact. A robotic-assisted myomectomy may have a lower risk of complications; require a shorter hospital stay and a faster recovery.

Uterosacral Suspension is used to treat vaginal prolapse and ultimately restore the vagina to its normal anatomic position and alleviate symptoms such as vaginal pressure, painful intercourse, recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence and an enlarged vaginal opening. Novasure® - Endometrial Ablation
